Counseling services are provided through scheduled therapeutic visits determined by the patient and therapist. Services are designed to address the individualized treatment needs of the patient as identified in the treatment plan and are provided by or under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Therapist services include individual treatment, ongoing comprehensive evaluation, active family involvement and/or family therapy as appropriate, couples counseling and group therapy. Services may be provided at the agency, via teletherapy, or other locations appropriate to the provision of psychotherapy and determined by the therapist, in conjunction with the patient.
Therapists provide the goal-oriented, treatment-focused services within the context of a selected evidenced-based treatment model with identified and measurable outcomes. As a component of the therapy process to move the individual, family, or couple towards greater strength and self-sufficiency, a discharge plan, which is evaluated and revised as necessary as treatment continues, is developed as part of the initial assessment and outpatient treatment planning process. Fidelity to the fundamental components of the selected treatment model is maintained by the provision of ongoing training, supervision, and monitoring of services provided in the context of the required model.
